what are the value of blogs? i think they give an outlet to the people who dont know how to express thier emotions otherwise and cannot connect to the people around them… yet feel somewhat better by expressing themselves on a website that anyone can view

so i read chapter three and i actually understood it and enjoyed it! however… the quotes from simmel himself are easier to understand then highmore trying to make sense of it. from what i understand, simmel’s everyday is an accumulation of the microscopic moments that make it up. the book compares it to snapshots of time, which now i also understand why i took pictures of my bathtub...
