so i read chapter three and i actually understood it and enjoyed it! however… the quotes from simmel himself are easier to understand then highmore trying to make sense of it. from what i understand, simmel’s everyday is an accumulation of the microscopic moments that make it up. the book compares it to snapshots of time, which now i also understand why i took pictures of my bathtub haha. i also like how he compared the everyday life to cells
